Lastly, the usual minor fixes and enhancements.

MailVault v5 is here!

MailVault v5.0.0 is available.

An upgraded technology layer, new Email Plus functionality and dedicated support for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace!

This release contains:

  • Email Plus functionality (also backups files, calendars and contacts)
  • Dedicated mail source for Microsoft 365 (email, drive, calendars, contacts)
  • Dedicated mail source for Google Workspace (email, drive, calendars, contacts)
  • Technology stack and core libraries updated
  • Minor fixes, enhancements and optimizations

With the new Email Plus functionality, MailVault can now also backup documents, calendars and contacts.

While MailVault has always supported backing up email from Microsoft and Google, v5 offers dedicated support for both these platforms. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace are now available as dedicated mail and data sources, where you can optionally choose the additional data that you may want backed up for specific, or for all users.

Other minor fixes, enhancements and optimizations make the functioning of MailVault better than earlier. Also the UI has been modified slightly, to allow the more relevant information to be in focus, and for a generally lighter and more pleasing look.

The upgraded technology stack improves performance and sets the stage for more functionality in future versions.

Note for existing v4.x.x users:

Version 5 is a major release. While new users can start using v5 right away, existing users of pre-v5 installations will need to follow a few steps to upgrade and derive the benefits of v5. Detailed information about this has been emailed to existing users. We strongly recommend you go through that before initiating the update. In case you need any technical clarifications or assistance, please get in touch with our Support team.

We hope you enjoy MailVault v5.

As usual, we’d love your feedback and suggestions.

We’ve introduced a few charts in this release.

The timeline chart plots your search results over a time line – by date if the results span multiple days…

…and by time if the results are on the same day.

The charts support simple user interactions – you can hover over the points of interest to see more details in a tool tip, or click a specific legend label at the top to hide it’s data from the chart – simply click once more to show it’s data again.

We’ve also added a few charts into the Reports section. We hope you find them useful.

MailVault v4.3.8 is available.

MailVault’s powerful search let’s you find the email you are searching for, fast! And Saved searches allow the user to re-run complex queries, on demand, with a single click.

And still, some of our users want the familiarity of being able to organize their email into good, old folders. We hear you. And we’ll give you folders. And more.

Introducing Views!

MailVault Views are smart, dynamic and alive. They are time-saving mechanisms, designed to let you get more done in less time. Views currently contain folders and saved searches, with more to come.

Folders consist of system folders (by default All, Inbox, Sent) with the possibility for users to create and manage their own custom folders. Similarly, users can create and save searches for easy and regular access. Both folders and searches return dynamic and updated results.

This release also adds a set of convenience filters on the Search results page (All mail, Incoming, Outgoing) which can be applied to any result set. Arrow icons along each result line indicate incoming or outgoing mail.

The G Suite and G Suite Turbo mail sources now support delete mail after x days functionality.
