Announcing MailVault Version 7
MailVault v7 is here.
We are excited to announce the release of MailVault v7, a major upgrade that brings significant improvements in performance, scalability and usability – along with a refreshed experience for administrators.
This release includes:
- Core architectural changes for improved performance and new features
- New Dashboard for a single-pane, convenient view of the MailVault system
- Performance and throughput increased throughout the system
- The sub-admin role is enhanced with additional privileges
- User Manager enhanced to support large Active Directory groups
- Mail sources enhanced for better handling of corrupted messages, connection timeouts and UTF-8 filenames
- Other minor fixes and enhancements
The modified core architecture with an upgraded technology layer, delivers immediate and tangible benefits across the system, while laying the groundwork to enable new capabilities, going forward.
A new Dashboard provides a single-pane into your MailVault system with key information available in a convenient view for administrators.
Performance improvements across the board allow for faster archiving and retrieval, improved handling of large data volumes and better responsiveness for users.
Greater flexibility in the sub-admin role, better handling of large Active Directory groups and improved robustness of mail ingestion, all add to a smoother experience, overall.
Note for existing users:
Version 7 is a major release. While new users can start using v7 right away, existing users of pre-v7 installations should go through the Upgrading to MailVault v7 document (available from within your MailVault) to ensure a smooth transition. You can manually upgrade your MailVault installation by going to:
Settings > Core > Auto updates and click on Check for updates
Then simply follow the on-screen instructions.
